At Maine Coon Kittens Home, the health, safety, and welfare of our kittens are our highest priorities. Due to the unique nature of live animal adoptions, all sales and adoption fees are final, and we do not offer returns, exchanges, cancellations, or refunds once a reservation has been confirmed or a kitten has been placed with a buyer.
Unlike traditional consumer goods, a kitten is a living animal whose health, environment, and well-being can be affected by transportation, changes in care, and exposure to new surroundings. For this reason, accepting returned animals could place the kitten, as well as other animals in our care, at unnecessary health and safety risks. Additionally, once a kitten has been reserved, we may decline other prospective families, incur veterinary expenses, and dedicate resources specifically to preparing that kitten for its new home.
By placing a reservation, submitting a deposit, or completing an adoption, the buyer acknowledges that they have carefully reviewed all available information regarding the kitten and understand that adoption fees are non-refundable. We strongly encourage prospective owners to ask questions and ensure they are fully prepared for the responsibilities of pet ownership before making a commitment.
In the rare event that a kitten cannot be provided due to circumstances directly attributable to us, we reserve the right to offer a replacement kitten or an alternative remedy at our sole discretion. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any rights that may be required under applicable law. Where local consumer protection laws provide specific legal rights that cannot be waived, those rights shall apply to the extent required by law.
At Maine Coon Kittens Home, we are committed to ensuring that every kitten reaches its new family safely and comfortably. While we are happy to assist in coordinating transportation, all shipping, transportation, delivery, travel, and related expenses are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
We do not include shipping costs in our adoption fees unless expressly stated in writing. Transportation fees vary depending on location, carrier availability, travel requirements, and other factors beyond our control. Buyers are responsible for obtaining and paying for any transportation services, permits, documentation, or additional travel-related expenses that may be required.
To help ensure a safe and reliable experience, we can provide recommendations for professional pet transportation agencies and trusted pet travel specialists that have experience handling kitten deliveries. These recommendations are offered solely as a courtesy and do not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, partnership, or assumption of liability for the services provided by any third-party transportation company.
Once a kitten has been transferred to a transportation provider selected by or approved by the buyer, responsibility for transportation, scheduling, delays, route changes, and delivery conditions rests with the transportation provider and the buyer. We encourage all buyers to communicate directly with their chosen carrier regarding transportation terms, insurance coverage, delivery timelines, and travel requirements.
By arranging transportation for a kitten, the buyer acknowledges and accepts full responsibility for all shipping costs, transportation arrangements, and any associated risks permitted under applicable law. Our role is limited to preparing the kitten for travel and providing the necessary health documentation required at the time of departure.
